are there any good alternatives to roll20? bonus if there's anything self-hostable but I'm flexible.

honestly I might just spin up a second instance of the lounge and use IRC and a bot for it.

@sevenofnine Foundry is better but definitely not perfect. The saying in our group is "At least it's better than roll20".

Self hosting only (they have some partners to host instances) and a one time license purchase of $50 plus local taxes.

It also has a plugin maintained by the 5e.tools dev which makes everything so much easy. Basically just directly import anything in 5e.tools or any homebrew that uses that format.
